Homes shaped around body and mind

We design homes around how people live, recover, and function.

Designed, built, and maintained to the Homey Standard.

Principles

  • Light, air, temperature, and spatial flow are considered together from the first line of the brief. They work quietly — you don't notice them. You notice that you feel better.

  • Every home is shaped around the routines of the people inside it. Morning light. Evening quiet. A kitchen that works before anyone is awake. Rooms that don't ask anything of you.

  • Our work doesn't end at handover. Every Homey home comes with ongoing access to our concierge and practitioner network — so the standard of the home is maintained long after you move in.

Wellness is infrastructure, not feature

Wellness in a home isn't a room. It isn't a sauna, or a yoga mat rolled out on a timber floor. It's the air you breathe inside the house. The water you drink. The light that reaches you in the morning. The quality of your sleep in a room next to a laundry. These are infrastructure decisions. They have to be made at the brief stage, before the foundations are poured.

A home designed to the Homey Standard puts wellness where it belongs — in the mechanical room, inside the walls, behind the plasterboard. Not bolted on at fit-out. Not pitched as an amenity.

Practice

A wellness architecture practice based in Melbourne.

We design the home, we build it, and we stay involved long after handover.

  • Architecture, materials, light, air, and daily rhythm considered from the first line of the brief. Wellness built into the structure, not layered on afterwards.

  • Every Homey home comes with ongoing access to our concierge — a single channel for wellness, lifestyle, and home services, arranged quietly in the background. The home is the beginning of the relationship, not the end of it.

  • For renovations, developer builds, and architect-led projects, we work alongside your existing team. Bringing the Homey Standard into the brief, the design, and the build — without building it ourselves.

Modern bathroom with double oval sinks, wooden cabinetry, and a white wall mirror, illuminated by natural light from a skylight.
Modern living room with sliding glass door leading to a patio and plants outside, partial view of a dining table and gray sofa, neutral color palette with natural light.
Modern building with white vertical louvered exterior and large glass window against a blue sky.
A bedroom with a white textured headboard, a white bed with pillows and a duvet, a small white side table, and sheer curtains on the left side.

The Homey Standard

Every home we design is built to a verified set of principles; air, water, light, acoustics, materials, and the spaces in between. Not a checklist. A philosophy.

The home that fits the way you live

The Alba House is the Standard made visible. Your home would be the Standard made yours. We write the brief with you, coordinate the architects and engineers, and advocate for the Standard through every decision — so the home you move into reflects how you actually want to live, not a floor plan that came before you.

For Developers & Partners

We work with a small number of developers each year. If you're building and want the Homey name behind it, let's talk.
